Kasper Fostering is a small independent
fostering organisation. At any one time we have about 40 foster carers who
live in London and the county of Kent.
Kasper Fostering is a ‘not for profit’ organisation, which
means all our finances go directly back into our services for our young
people
rather than to shareholders or individuals.
Our aim, since we started in 1997, has been to work in partnership with
our young people and their parents/significant others providing for your
children whilst they are unable to live with you.
Our foster families undergo a thorough and challenging assessment process
prior to being approved as one of our families.
Training is essential and we ensure this is made available on a minimum
of a monthly basis. In addition, all our carers complete government training
initiatives and attend a variety of specialist courses, including NVQ’s.
Each child is matched individually to our families to ensure all their needs
will be met and that they will be able to meet their potential and feel
cared for and looked after. Our foster carers are supported by a qualified
and experienced social worker. At Kasper Fostering we provide ongoing 24
hour support to all our families.
Promoting a young person’s identity is essential and we aim to promote
and support positive time together for parents and children. We try to
be creative and flexible when organising your visits and arrange these
to be
in family friendly contact facilities. When time together has to be supervised,
we try to ensure that the same skilled support worker is available and
that we discuss how best to make this time with you as positive and fun
as possible.
Understanding how we can improve our services is really important at Kasper
Fostering. We will regularly ask for your feedback but if prior to this
you feel there are any practices which can be improved, please contact Kate
Hamilton-Harris, the Service Development Manager on the number below.
